IFC: Portlandia Digital Engagement
Season 1 made Portlandia top of mind.
I showed IFC how to put Portlandia in people's hearts.
The Project
With the second season of Portlandia looming, IFC was looking for digital engagement concepts to extend the audience's involvement with the show.
I led the pitch behind "The United States of Portlandia" – a digital universe where viewers could come to play with the mythology of the show and take away artifacts such as their Portlandia Passport & Avatar.
To find that specific Portland look I hired local illustrator Tim Root (known for his work with Portland darling Stumptown Coffee) to create original sketches for the avatar builder concept.
